ATOMGA shares a positive vibe with the masses. Based in Denver, CO, this band uses authentic, Nigerian afrobeat as its foundation; then branches out into styles including funk, jazz and world beat utilizing inspirations of each of the 11 musicians in this eclectic project.
The power-packed 4-piece horn section comprised of Alekzandor Palesh ~ bass trombone, Leah Concialdi ~ baritone saxophone, Frank Roddy ~ alto and tenor saxophone, Tim Lee ~ trumpet; the driving in-the-pocket percussion trifecta of Jeff Reiss ~ drums, Jared “JBall” Fischer and Cody Schluter ~ percussion; the rock-solid groove machine bassist, Richard Schlozman, lead guitarist, Casey Hrdlicka, Peter Mouser on keyboard and Fender Rhodes, and Kendra Lee Kreie on lead vocals! Providing all the elements of an authentic, deep grooving, booty-shaking afrobeat dance party, ATOMGA will leave you exhausted from dancing but, still wanting more.
With a solidified and full-fledged line-up, ATOMGA embarked on a quest to take the Colorado music scene by storm beginning in the Spring of 2011. On their first gig, they headlined the Earthday Celebration at the Western Botanical Gardens in Grand Junction, and then went on to perform at legendary venues in Colorado including: Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, Belly Up - Aspen, Ullrs Tavern in Winter Park, Quixote’s True Blue and The Mercury Cafe. This past November, the group warmed up the stage for See-I, featuring members of Thievery Corporation, and received positive acclaim by several local publications including: Listen Up Denver, Intity Weekly and Mountain News Weekly. More recently, they have supported Brooklyn funksters, Pimps of Joytime and the funk trio Juno What!? featuring members of the Motet.
Dedicated to nurturing the thriving arts community in Denver, ATOMGA has also performed “Art Out Loud” at Moe’s BBQ benefiting Denver Art Society, Denver’s only free K-12 arts school. They have also provided the music entertainment for Loki Gear's (a local Colorado company) 15th Anniversary Party at the Paramount Cafe.
With no intention of losing momentum and the unyielding desire to share the infectious energy this music has to offer, ATOMGA will continuously connect your heart with your mind, body, and soul.
