Seether has announced their final headlining tour of the year, a 19-city jaunt that keeps the hard rocking outfit on the road through October 2015. Joining Seether will be special guests Saint Asonia. Tickets go on sale at 10AM on Friday, July 31st. The tour news was announced today exclusively by Loudwire, who will also partner with Seether to give away a one-of-a-kind guitar signed by the band. For more info, visit: XX
Seether has been working nonstop since the release of their critically acclaimed 2014 album Isolate and Medicate, which has now sold more than 150,000 copies in the U.S. alone. The singles, “Words As Weapons” and “Same Damn Life” took hold of rock radio this past year, each spending several weeks in the Top 5 with “Words As Weapons” reaching #1. Most recently, Seether released an ambitious and thought-provoking interactive video for their current radio smash “Nobody Praying For Me”. Created by Seether front man Shaun Morgan and video director, Sherif Higazy, the clip (premiered by The Huffington Post) offers several differing points of view in the ongoing debate over abusive police brutality and tactics in America. The video’s prevailing message is displayed in its final shot: “It’s critical to be critical.” Read an interview with Shaun and watch the video here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/06/30/seether-police-brutality_n_7691514.html
Saint Asonia was formed when former Three Days Grace singer Adam Gontier received a call out of the blue from Staind lead guitarist Mike Mushok in 2014. Tapping the talents of mutual friends, drummer Rich Beddoe [ex-Finger Eleven] and bassist/background vocalist Corey Lowery [Dark New Day, Stereomud, Eye Empire], the lineup formally solidified. By the beginning of 2015, their initial three-song experiment quickly turned into a full-blown studio session with producer, engineer, and mixer Johnny K [Sevendust, Disturbed, Megadeth] at his Groovemaster Studios in Chicago, IL. In May 2015 the band posted a cryptic video citing “the combined forces behind 25 Top Ten Rock Singles and seventeen #1 hit songs.” Saint Asonia made its formal debut live in front of 15,000 fans at Rock on the Range Festival a week later. Saint Asonia will support Seether on tour throughout October.
